Banana Bread Beer

World Market has a fabulous food and drink area. I was walking through the aisle and a banana bread beer caught my eye. Now, I love banana bread, but as a beer I wasn't sure if that would be good. So of course, curiosity killed the cat. I had to buy it.
Results: It tasted exactly how it sounds. It tasted like banana bread, with just a small hint of alcohol. Despite my love for banana bread, I don't really like it as an alcoholic beverage.

Food Fest

I love my family. They're the ones that gave me my love for food. Every time we all get together to catch up, 99.9% of the time it is around food. Last weekend was no different. My cousins decided to have a mini food-fest at their house because my cousins from Sacramento were coming over. We wanted to celebrate their wedding anniversary and some birthdays. As expected, I came home with a satisfied and full belly.
Tofu Salad - The only healthy thing on our menu.
Yummy, yummy crab.
Homemade Pot Stickers. Pretty garlic-y. Loved it.
Rice Noodle with Chicken Casserole.

 Sea Bass.
 Shrimps and Scallops.
Taro and Egg. I loved the sauce that went with it too. Sprinkled with Scallions.
For dessert, we had Donut Sundaes.I made sure to get Krispy Kreme donuts. You can't see the donut, but it's underneath there somewhere. Topped with ice cream, whipped cream, nuts, bananas and maraschino cherries. I could do without the cherries and whipped cream. But, it was still good.
Ira and I also bought a bundt cake to celebrate the birthdays. This was from Nothing Bundt Cakes. I love their cakes. Very cute. They have designs for all sorts of occasions. This bundt was white chocolate raspberry.
To drink, we had a few shots of this Coconut Vodka. Surprisingly pretty good. It went down smoothly. We also had some of my cousins husbands home made Chardonnay. Best Chardonnay I've ever tasted.

Godiva's Chocolixir

My coworker introduced me to this chocolate goodness; Godiva's Chocolixir. Now, I don't normally like that much chocolate. The darker the chocolate, the less likely I am to eat it. Plus, it has to have something else in it like nuts or wafers. I don't like the plain chocolate. When he said it was a chocolate smoothie, I got nervous. He said to trust him, so I gave in and decided to try one. I'm glad I did. It's fabulous. Not too dark and perfectly smooth going down.

Tea Bags

I'm drinking a lot of tea lately and I love trying different types of teas. I came across this very cute Tea Bag in Etsy by RubysPlayground. It holds up to 4 tea bags. Not much, but it's perfect for on the go. I mean, how much tea can you really drink in one day anyways?LinkMy two favorites are the green dotted one at the middle bottom and the blue flowered one at the bottom right corner.
